We are pleased and delighted that you have chosen Emerald Mountain as your new home. We think that our little community is a little bit of “heaven on earth” and we believe that in just a few short weeks you will think so too!
The first family moved into the community in 1993. That was before the Bridge or the Village Market was constructed and the Golf Club was just a dream. In fact the streets were not even paved when the first families bought their lots and began construction. People that knew the area said the Rifle Range Road was not exactly in the “middle of nowhere” - but you could see it from here. Now it is the fastest growing community in Elmore County while still retaining the quiet country setting.
You can see a lot from the Overlook Park behind the clubhouse. Because Emerald Mountain is the very southernmost tip of the Appalachian Mountains and the Coastal Plain is immediately to the south, you can see for miles.
The Overlook Park and the Clubhouse is the site for many Community Events. Covered Dish Suppers, birthday parties, Fire Department Draw-down Dinner, Fourth of July and many other events take place there. As a resident a special low rental rate is available for the Clubhouse. To make a Clubhouse reservation call 514-0546.
Emerald Mountain is a Master Planned Community with an Architectural Review Board and a Homeowners Association. Membership and dues payment for the HOA is mandatory and information about the ARB and the HOA can be found in your covenants and restrictions. Your Real Estate agent can furnish you with a copy of our Covenants & Restrictions. Information for the neighborhood and the HOA is available at our Sales Center.
As a means of keeping a line of communication open in the community, the HOA has an Advisory Board and a system of Block Captains. The Block Captains is the larger of the two groups. The community is divided into blocks of approximately 12 –15 families with one family acting as a Block Captain. The Block Captain attends the larger planning meetings and serves as a conduit of information for their area. The Advisory Board assists the Community in enforcement of the Covenants and the maintenance of the common areas.
The Common areas of the Community are:
- The Overlook Park
- The Tennis Center
- The Equestrian Center (Stables are Subject to availability)
- The 25-acre River Birch Park
- The Entry Fountain
- Green Paths and assorted trails
The Golf Club opened in September of 2000. Like the rest of Emerald Mountain, the Golf Course is beautiful to behold. The course is challenging, championship level course. The management invites you to come and play a round soon. We think that this course will be known as one of the finest facilities in the South. Ownership and management of the Golf Club is different that the Development. To get information on membership, tee times, or rates for a round of golf call 514-8082.
